ALLISON VICUNA SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD

In 2018, we introduced a new annual award. This award is presented to an individual that embodies the AKC code of sportsmanship. We want to honor the effort and dedication of special individuals.

Our first recipient, Allison Vicuna, contributed her time, her energy and her heart to the sport, in spite of her battle with cancer. She was the foundation of good sportsmanship and was devoted to the sport, no matter what challenges she faced. Our agility community lost Allison in July 2019. In her honor, the award is now the Allison Vicuna Sportsmanship Award.

This award is presented annually at the Thanksgiving Cluster to the person selected by the committee. To be eligible, candidates must be or have been active participants in AKC Agility over the past year. They also must be entered in this year's Cluster. Potential candidates have a history of going beyond the call, in terms of volunteering. They contribute to the success of the Cluster and Sport in general. They act with integrity and respect towards others and impact others with their attitude and spirit. Please refer to the premium for complete details and nomination form.
